Looking for a way to contribute and help me on my journey to the Shoshoni Ashram in Colorado? Well here is another great way to assist me AND you will look wonderful while you do it! My good friend Mallory Kammeyer, owner of Jolly's online boutique, is making the incredibly generous offer of giving me 20% of each sale of the dream dress for my trip.
Here are a few pictures to give you a better idea as to how it looks:

I have been feeling a bit worn down the past few days and haven't had much energy to get a lot of information of the site, but I have been staying strong in my "choose to live well" challenge for the month of February! Practicing inversions every single day, supporting local businesses and choosing to eat in rather than eating out. How is everyone else doing in their challenge? Please check in on my facebook page to see my updates as well as the updates of many other yogis that have joined in the challenge.
As promised, here are the rest of the photos from the Larry Godfrey photo shoot

A few weeks ago I wrote an entry titled "Courage Within Myself". This was a post that dealt with my recent personal goals, here is an excerpt from that entry:
Over the past year or so, I have had people tell me that I should try my hand in modeling. It took me quite a while to take this as more than a compliment and seriously consider what I could do within the industry. Just recently, one of the major mantras I have been promoting in my classes has been "finding courage in your practice and in the self". It finally hit me that yes I do have courage in my practice but no I do not find a whole lot within myself. I was much to self conscious to ever consider that maybe I could ever be a model; but then my own mantra slapped me in my face and I decided it was time to find courage in myself. Which is when I began pursuing photographer to help me build a portfolio to bring to agencies.

I am a HUGE fan of jewelry - if you know me at all then you have noticed that I am always wearing at least 5 pieces... even while I'm teaching. Just recently I connected with a yogi who is also a jewelry artist. One day I had just so happened to see one of her pieces pop up in my facebook newsfeed and I had to find out where she got it, when she told me that she not only made it herself but that the profits go toward charity I had to have her come on as a guest.
Welcome Ashely DiMeglio; jewelry artist, yoga instructor and director of teacher training. Yoga Journal has blogged about her charity event, "9/11 Yoga" in support of families that had experienced devastation from the tragic day of September 11th, 2001. And she also raises quite a bit of money for animal rescue projects.

Something I think almost everyone can agree on is that they want strong, shiny, healthy hair. Being a yoga instructor and having to wear my hair back everyday damages my hair and I am constantly struggling with ways to keep my hair from breaking. One day while subbing a pilates class I noticed a woman with the most beautiful hair I had ever seen! The more I got to know her, the more I realized that I was not the only person who noticed her gorgeous mane. Which is what lead me to finally ask, "What do you do to make your hair so friggin beautiful?!" She replied with an incredibly helpful and in depth answer. It seemed silly not to share that information with the world, so I asked her to be a guest on my blog.
Today we welcome Robyn Arregui, natural hair care enthusiast. She gives us the low down on everything from how you should wash your hair to using natural henna and what kind of brushes to buy. Thank you so much, Robyn, for sharing your knowledge of natural hair care with all of the yogis and holistic living of Fit Body Clear Mind.

With yoga being my line of work, I go through active wear very quickly. Therefor I spend decent amount of money on yoga clothing and like to make sure I get my "bang for my buck". With Lululemon Athletica's "Wunder Under" crop pant and "Dignity" sports bra, I feel that I am definitely getting my money's worth.
Today I will review the two items of active wear and give you my honest opinion as to why they are lately my favorite pieces of clothing to teach and practice in.
Namaste yogis! Today's post is very short and quick...and honestly a bit selfish, but I am very proud and want all to know my vicotry! :) I am on the cover of Gulf and Main Magazine!!! You can read this issue's article "Why You Should Say YES TO YOGA" by subscribing to their to their online account.
Very excited! Please share this with all of your yogi friends! Feel free to leave comments as always! ;-)

Namaste yogis! This past weekend I went to a workshop regaurding the eight limbs of yoga (led by my beautiful friend Anita). During the workshop we came into a discussion of detoxifying cleanses and ayurvedic treatments. This is where I learned about dry body brushing. I had seen the brushes before in stores but had never really quite known what they were used for...I had honestly assumed it was for showering. Now that I know what kind of great benefits dry brushing does for the lymphatic system I am going out to get myself a dry body brush and I wanted to share some of the great information with you guys as well!

Namaste yogis! If you are the type of person who hates to get sweaty while exercising because you know you've got to run errands afterward or go to work (so on and so forth) this post is one you want to pay attention to. Becca Ismert gives us her review of "dri-fit" clothing.
